Core drilling stands secure the motor and drill bit when creating large holes in concrete, walls or hard construction materials. In professional construction, maintaining drill axis stability and controlling depth require a robust mounting system, especially when hole diameter exceeds 100 mm.

DIAGER offers four main stand models serving diameters from 120 mm to 350 mm, along with supporting accessories such as vacuum mounting kits, water recovery cups and replacement gaskets. Each stand is designed to be compatible with standard core drilling motors, allowing quick installation and height adjustment according to project requirements.

This product range includes both traditional anchor-bolt solutions and vacuum mounting options for flat surfaces, giving contractors flexibility to choose the appropriate mounting method for site conditions. Alongside the stands, water recovery accessories and rubber gaskets ensure wet drilling proceeds cleanly, limiting dust and keeping the work area tidy.

Classification by maximum drilling diameter

The four main stand models in the range are distinguished by their maximum drill bit diameter capacity. Each model serves a specific work scope, from medium holes to extra-large holes in concrete structures. Users need to match the planned drill bit diameter with the stand's limit to ensure safety and stable performance throughout the work shift.

Model 348HD120 supports drilling up to 120 mm diameter, suitable for electrical, plumbing or ventilation technical holes in residential buildings. Model 353HD150 raises the limit to 150 mm, meeting the needs for exhaust duct or industrial supply and drainage pipe installation. When diameter reaches 250 mm, model 354HD250 becomes the choice for infrastructure projects, bridges, roads or factories. Model 355HD350 handles 350 mm drill bits, serving special projects such as tunnels, large drainage systems or structural anchor piles.

Mounting methods

Core drilling stands can be mounted using two main methods: anchor bolts into pre-drilled holes or vacuum mounting on flat surfaces. The anchor-bolt method requires drilling a small anchor hole first, then using expansion bolts to clamp the stand firmly to the concrete. This method ensures high stability but leaves marks on the work surface. The vacuum mounting method does not require drilling auxiliary holes, only a clean flat surface with sufficient contact area.

Model 353HD13 provides a vacuum mounting kit compatible with three stands D150, D250 and D350. This kit creates suction force to hold the stand stable on concrete floors, vertical walls or flat ceilings without drilling anchor holes. The included rubber gasket ensures an airtight seal, maintaining negative pressure throughout the drilling process. When the surface is uneven or insufficiently flat, contractors should still return to the anchor-bolt option to ensure absolute safety.

Water cooling recovery system

Diamond core drilling requires continuous water cooling to extend drill bit life and reduce dust. Water flowing through the drill bit will overflow around the hole, wetting the work area and causing waste if not recovered. The water recovery cup attached to the stand forms a sealed barrier, catching the backflow water and directing it to a storage tank for reuse or proper disposal.

Model 353HD11 serves the D150 stand, including a rubber gasket ensuring water-tight seal around the hole opening. Model 354HD21 is for the D250 stand, with a larger diameter to surround the 250 mm drill bit. Model 355HD31 is compatible with the D350 stand, handling high water flow when drilling extra-large holes. All three cups come with original rubber gaskets, but users can purchase separate gaskets for replacement when worn.

Replacement rubber gaskets

Rubber gaskets endure continuous friction with water, concrete dust and mechanical pressure, leading to wear or tearing after many drilling shifts. When the gasket fails, the seal between the water recovery cup and stand will leak, reducing recovery efficiency and wetting the work area. Periodic gasket replacement helps maintain seal integrity and extends the service life of the entire water recovery system.

Model 353HD12 replaces the gasket of cup 353HD11, restoring the water-tight seal after the old gasket wears out. Model 354HD22 serves cup 354HD21, with dimensions suitable for 250 mm diameter. Model 355HD32 is for cup 355HD31, handling high water pressure when drilling large holes. Besides cup gaskets, there are separate gaskets for the contact surface between the stand and mounting surface when using the vacuum kit.

Model 353HD14 seals the contact surface between the D150 stand and mounting surface when using vacuum kit 353HD13. Model 354HD24 serves the D250 stand, ensuring stable negative pressure throughout the drilling shift. Model 355HD34 is for the D350 stand, handling large contact area and strong suction force. Replacing the correct gasket model helps maintain vacuum performance and avoid the risk of stand slippage during drilling.

Selection and usage considerations

Before selecting a stand, users need to determine the maximum hole diameter in the project and choose a model with equal or higher capacity. If the project has multiple different diameters, choose the largest stand to avoid changing equipment mid-way. Check the work surface: if flat and clean, the vacuum kit saves time; if uneven or coated, anchor bolts remain safer.

During drilling, monitor the water level in the recovery cup and drain periodically to prevent overflow. Inspect gaskets before each work shift, replace immediately if tears or deformation are found. After completion, rinse the stand and water recovery cup with clean water, dry thoroughly to prevent rust. Store the stand in a dry location, avoid strong impacts to height adjustment components or threaded connections. Following the manufacturer's installation instructions ensures the stand operates stably and extends service life in harsh construction environments.
